LEONARDO RADICCHI

“Dignity - a visual poem” is the result of a collaboration between musician and composer Leonardo Radicchi, filmmaker Francesco Biccheri, and actor and director G. Riccardo Tordoni. It features a choral improvisation involving approximately one hundred people—including the elderly, adults, and youth—created within the choral theater project "Marozia” in Gubbio, led by G. Riccardo Tordoni in collaboration with Simona Bianchi. The video’s soundscape is shaped by two tracks, “First interference” and “Dignity,” which are part of the five-track “Humanity suite” from the album Humanity (Wow Records 2026). "We believe that art cannot remain indifferent. It cannot change the world on its own, but it can contribute to the critical mass that defines us as a society, as human beings." Dignity, defined by Hannah Arendt as "the right to have rights," is once again being denied to entire populations in a massive, pervasive, unjustified, and violent manner. It is a descent into the abyss that—though never truly halted—seemed to have slowed down, if not almost reversed its trend. This video is a symbol, a visual metaphor seeking to express what we cannot put into words, and to show what is increasingly displayed yet normalized. If reality no longer moves us, perhaps a staged performance can? As artists, we feel it is our duty to try.

Riot: a voice among others, an idea among many emerges, breaks, comes together, disappears and reappears; the individuals become crowd, and the crowd .. riot!. The odd time that make up the main sentence is interspersed with two cues that mark two opposing situations. The first is a peak of tension, a clash; the second one seems to be a quiet moment.
